Do you known any webapp/service that allow you to manage a list of tasks/todos/events and in addition it sends an SMS to specified mobile number, as reminder for a set deadline (that works also in Europe)?

Google Calendar supports SMS reminders for events in the Options section. I don't think this is available for Tasks as yet though. And yes, it worked in Europe (well, in the UK) for me.

I discover that it works in Italy too, but unfortunately it seems that you cannot associate an SMS reminder to a task. – Drake Jul 4 '10 at 12:11

Works for me. Is your carrier listed? Did you confirm your number? Did you go over your SMS limit? – Al Everett Jul 4 '10 at 21:41
@Al Everett I am located in Italy, and use Vodafone as carrier. It is listed but it seems that it does not work. I check the forum and this problem has been detected by other people in Italy. I suppose is a carrier fault and not a RTM fault. – Drake Jul 5 '10 at 12:49

Good suggestion, I didn't known this service. Unfortunately the free account limits to 5 SMS per month, that is a bit low and the Pro version it costs 48$ per years, that is a bit too much for me :D – Drake Jul 4 '10 at 12:08

My two cents: If you need SMS reminders for tasks, then your task-management system could probably benefit from some additional thought. You should be consulting and rearranging your daily task list multiple times per day.

I use Gcal and Gtasks, assigning tasks to the day when I expect to actually do them ("do" dates, not "due" dates). On today's list, I only have things that I actually expect to complete today. Other stuff gets pushed later in the week. I consult this several times per day.
