Before I started using Google Reader to share/bookmark interesting websites/links, I used delicious.
Is there a way to export the bookmarks I saved in Delicious into Google Reader as a shared/starred item?

You can add your delicious feed to google reader. This way google will back up your bookmarks and you can star/share at will from there |

Are these bookmarks or livemarks? Google Reader uses the OPML file format for importing data. A bookmark (usually) points to a web address whereas as a livemark points to a RSS feed. Bookmarks in an OPML file are invalid and therefore can't be imported. UPDATE I'm not aware of any way to import directly from Delicious in to Google Reader. You could import your Delicious bookmarks in to Firefox and then import them from Firefox in to Google Reader. It's a bit of a hack but I can't see any other way at the moment. Follow these instructions to Import into Firefox Import your browser's bookmarks or favorites into Google Bookmarks

Have you looked at using Google bookmarks for this ? https://www.google.com/bookmarks They have just launched a Delicious > Google Bookmarks import tool; https://www.google.com/bookmarks/deliciousimport And you could share items through a public list; http://www.google.com/support/bookmarks/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=159229 Hope this helps. |
