My Gmail recently got hacked and quite a few messages were deleted. I got the password back, and they didn't send any email or try to impersonate me -- just deleted quite a few messages. Do you think I should report this to the Internet Crime Complaint Center? Will they do anything about it?

Thanks.

You need to immediately go into your settings and make sure a forward hasn't been set, and make sure they didn't set up a phone number for password resetting. Of course you probably won't see this message since somebody who doesn't understand Gmail hacking (I've been hacked twice there) migrated the question here instead of giving you the answer. – Lance Roberts Jan 7 '11 at 16:21

Yes. I would the following as well.

  1. Change gmail account password immediately.
  2. Check the Last account activity (at the bottom of the page on gmail)this will probably give you an idea of the ip addresses that your gmail account was accessed from.
  3. Follow the Tips suggested by Gmail for keeping your account secure https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46526
