I currently live in Denmark and I've been using EuroSport | Player with a paid subscription, but I couldn't find a way to switch to an international version and it always redirects me to eurosportplayer.dk, which is not cool.

This time I want to watch the tournament with english commentators. I sent an e-mail to EuroSport suppor, but it will take up to 48h for them to reply.

So my question is where can I get, free or paid, live HD stream of the Australian Open (or any other tennis tournament) from Denmark in English?

My guess is that if it works from other European countries it will work from Denmark as well. There are a lot of options for US, but I can't really use them and proxy is not an option.

You can try this to watch live tv from Australia, Denmark and other World in free:

You could try:

There is also the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/6102132.stm but this would only work if you used a proxy as it is only available in the UK unfortunately.

I think you will struggle to find a HD stream to watch and many of the paid options require you to connect from a specific country (like the BBC stream mentioned above)

I also found this link to LiveStream http://www.livestream.com/australianopen - although it only mentions live streaming of the qualifying.

The first links shows only the live scores.. (something that they have on the official page as well..). The second link is for UK only and I'm currently in Denmark and I said proxy is not an option.. as for the last we are not even sure.. +the fact that I'll miss the whole tournament.. :) – Lipis Jan 19 '11 at 0:14
@Lipis - Hmm it's a tricky one as a lot of the streaming services are locked down now based on country - which is a pain. Sorry about the first link I thought that was a video stream. It appears that using a proxy would be the only the option. I'd be interested to know if you find anything though. – Barry Jan 19 '11 at 7:38
my last resort will be watching it in Danish.. but I still don't get it why there is no paid service that can offer that in 2011..(at least nothing that I'm aware of)? – Lipis Jan 19 '11 at 17:06
@Lipis - I would thought it is probably down to licensing and paying for the rights to broadcast across various countries. I agree though - it is strange how something so simple seems so difficult to do. – Barry Jan 19 '11 at 17:30
