Here is a brief one-minute video that demonstrates the process: http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-direct-custom-domain-your-google-sites-website-396927/

  • In Google Sites, click 'More Actions' -> 'Manage Site' -> 'General'.
  • Enter your domain -- including subdomain -- in the Web Address Mapping field.

Note that in order to map your domain in Google Sites, your Google Apps administrator must enable Web Address Mapping.

Here is a step-by-step process for redirecting your custom doamin to Blogger. However I am sure that the process would work for Google Apps too. http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55373
