My wife has had an Hotmail (.com) e-mail account for some time. I just got an e-mail from her account, but she didn't write it, so I'm suspecting that someone cracked the password (which wasn't difficult to guess).

The interface has changed since the last time I logged in (a couple of years ago) and I can't find where to change the password. Now it's part of Windows Live. Where can I do this?

It's also possible that someone has spoofed the from address of the email so it might be worth checking the sent mail box (if hotmail has such a thing) to see if it was really sent from that account. – Col Sep 21 '09 at 15:36
Yes, there was sent mail from the account. Good idea to check that. – John at CashCommons Sep 21 '09 at 17:44

After logging in, click on the "options" link at the top right. You should then be given a link to change your Hotmail password.

Thanks! That was where it was (under "More Options", and then in the change profile information). – John at CashCommons Sep 21 '09 at 15:35
