I'm searching for a database or a free (REST) API where are information about (mostly all) food (products) stored. Do you know a free API/Database (for example like OpenGeoDB)?

Don't know if this meets your needs, but many of the BigOven recipes include calorie and nutritional information. They've got a RESTful API.
