I just ran across the Kodingen website.

It looks nice, but it is not clear to me that there it offers anything beyond what is available on my desktop, and what is available for editors and interpreters seems much more limited.

I feel I must be missing something.

What are some of the key features of Kodingen that I should look into?

I think the idea behind it is to remove the need to have various tools and applications installed on your machine and to have everything centralised in the cloud so that you can work on your projects from anywhere.

One of the key points from the about page seems to be that you don't need to have a hosting environment, FTP server, FTP Client, IDE, etc - you simply use the web application as a one stop shop for everything.
