I use Delicious a lot, but I don't find its interface quick to use when looking for a bookmark.

Has anybody made a web app with an alternative interface? I was thinking something with a tag tree, like the offical IE addon panal, would be possible.

Take a look at Pinboard - it's an alternative to Delicious, and can import existing bookmarks. It can even be set up to synchronize with your Delicious account on a regular basis.

As Yahoo! are going to close Delicious soon a replacement is necessary.

When Yahoo! made its decision the two biggest winners were Spingpad and YourVersion - they would be a good first destination.

They are not going to close it. After that leak Yahoo made an official statement saying that they are going to sell it. It's even linked on that page - readwriteweb.com/archives/…. I opened a Diigo account, in case it ever does close, and I will export my bookmarks, but I have not found anything I like as much as Delicious. – paradroid Mar 27 '11 at 20:32
Being on Yahoo!'s sunset list means they will sell it if possible - but if there is no buyer they won't keep paying for the servers indefinitely. Yahoo! will shut the service down if there is no buyer. – amelvin Mar 27 '11 at 21:32
They didn't closed it, they sold it to AVOS (avos.com) – Alex Jul 10 '11 at 14:44
