Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In Orkut's "updates" page (equivalent of Facebook's "News Feed"), a news item often appears that reads "Suggestions from orkut" and proposes me to add a few people that Google has probably found by reading my emails.

In addition from being questionable, this news item is huge and disrupts the news feed, degrading the whole experience of checking that page, which is the central page of the social network.

How can I prevent this "Suggestions from orkut" item from appearing?
