Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm looking for a (PHP) CMS that will allow me to restrict areas for use by external editors. For instance:

http://foo.com <- would be managed/edited by us, the site hosts
http://foo.com/bar <- would be managed by the bar editor
http://foo.com/baz <- would be managed by the baz editor

All the subdirectories would have a similar feel, but the top-level would be slightly different.

I've heard that Joomla & Drupal can achieve this, but since their plugin lists are quite large its hard to track down what to use.

Suggestions?
