Is there any of them not totally saturated with guys jerking their dongs? I think omegle and chat roulette are great ideas, but cater to the wrong audience.

I don't think you're going to find anything on the internet that doesn't have trolls. Sure, some communities try to put them down, but it's still hard. – dkuntz2 Apr 18 '11 at 2:37

@Dkuntz and Robin, I think you are too cynical. It's true that trolls can't be completely prevented, but it's plausible that there exists a site where they get reported immediately and only disturb a small portion of the site. – user8720 Apr 18 '11 at 8:11

I don't think that is technically possible for a site that connects random people together. Even if you could have some code that imposes a 2 second delay and filters out genitalia, that couldn't prevent inappropriate language being used.

In a TechCrunch interview with the myYearbook people they claim to have nudity down to 1 in 1000 streams, compared to 1 in 50 for Chatroulette.

That still means that if my kid and the 1000 other kids at his school use it once a week, there is one guaranteed traumatized per week. Not so comforting. – WAF Apr 24 '11 at 14:23
