Take pictures down from Piczo (posted by someone else)

Question

Here is the situation:

• Friend A goes on vacation with friend B
• Friend A has one of those terrible Piczo sites and decides to post her vacation pictures on the Piczo site for the whole world to enjoy
• Friend B is on those pictures too, dressed in her nicest beach clothes.
• (fast forward a few years)
• Friend B starts a company. Searching her name on Google brings you directly to those nice pictures friend A posted.
• Friend A lost her password for this site
• Friend A has a different emailaddress, so she can't use the "forgot password"-link
• The "additional support options"-link is broken

They came to me for advice.

Does anyone know a way to success?

If nothing else works, friend B can (as a last resort) hire one of these companies that specialize in cleaning the search results for their customer, usually by promoting positive hits and pushing the negative hits downwards.

Once something is posted on the internet. That's pretty much it. It'll be around forever. Google takes copies, so does the wayback machine, so does many other things.

In any case, I'd say the best thing to do would be to get "Friend A" to email Piczo about it detailing the issues and providing evidence that they are that person and that they would like the images removing.

Alternatively, it might be worth a shot to email them yourself requesting that it is removed for privacy reasons, though this is fairly unlikely to be fruitful.

Generally, I wouldn't recommend hiring companies to try and remove bits of you from the internet and/or trying to drown the search results. Internet content really can't be removed easily and drowning search results will only make it more difficult for you to get the real things in there in the future.
