I want my Google+ account to be automatically updated when I post a tweet on Twitter.

I for one want to know "why?" as they are two different networks intended for two different types of communication. This is called linkspam and causes people to quit following you, often on both networks. –  jcolebrand Jul 17 '11 at 19:02

@jcolebrand - I disagree. I think there is definitely a part of G+ which is supposed to entirely replace twitter. –  Rory Alsop Jul 17 '11 at 19:09

@RoryAlsop Oh I agree that G+ is intended to replace twitter (async following tactics) however, my point was, I don't want to see my twitter stream full of links to G+. At that point I'll go follow you on G+. I also don't want a constant stream of cross-posted FB and Twitter statuses (where what you post on facebook goes to twitter with a link back to there). –  jcolebrand Jul 17 '11 at 19:11

@jcolebrand - +1 - I get you now. I'm the same. :-) –  Rory Alsop Jul 17 '11 at 19:13

@jcolebrand The people I want to share links with are split between Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. This is so annoying to have to post the same message 3 times in order to reach all my contacts. –  Vjeux Oct 8 '11 at 17:46

Google+ API is not yet public, so there's no way to auto-update your Twitter posts to G+.

You can, however, do the other way around: post to Google+ and have it auto-update to Twitter. And Facebook too.

It can be done. Have a look at twoogleplus.com. Its an online service that automatically cross-posts tweets to Google+. No browser extension needed. –  David Tinker Feb 24 '12 at 14:08

There is a chrome extension for that.

Might have to wait for the API in order for this to work completely... There are lots of great services that post to twitter for you, I was hoping to use some sort of auto forward to get those posts onto my G+ as well, rather then wait for the services to add support for G+. My Services -> Web based Scrapper -> Twitter Feed -> G+ –  BadPirate Aug 11 '11 at 21:07

It's not possible (currently) to update Twitter from G+ without a browser extension. You should wait for the API.

The best way to update Twitter and Facebook from G+ that I have come across is to get your public RSS feed for your Google+ profile and then use a service like Twitterfeed to update Facebook and Twitter or use Manage Flitter. More detailed info here: http://iag.me/socialmedia/tools/how-to-update-twitter-and-facebook-with-your-google-posts/

You can even decide which posts you want to sync to Facebook and/or Twitter using tags (eg #fb or #tw)
