Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Which feedback web apps like UserVoice or Get Satisfaction can be hosted inside a network?

Due to corporate policy, we can't host certain types of information outside of our network, but we'd still like to allow employees to provide feedback and ideas for improving departments and products.

MSO has a list of StackOverflow clones that might be helpful if your internal discussion is mostly in a QA format.

I found a stackoverflow.com question on open source clones of UserVoice which is probably going to be your best bet. The top voted answer is to use a Stack Overflow clone though :)

The simplest way to do this would be to install an open source forum/bulletin board program like PHPBB. Just install it within your LAN on XAMP(converts your box into a PHP, MySQL Webserver) or on a Linux server and away you go.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a little bit more organization around the suggestions like UserVoice (or even SO) –  Michael La Voie Jul 7 '10 at 20:46
