I'm looking for site that lets you simply add text links to it. I'd like to have a page with a bunch of links as my homepage, so it should load up basically instantly. I don't need to restrict access to the page. Currently I have a simple HTML page that I update manually via FTP but it's a lot more hassle to change something than I like.

Surprisingly I have not found anything that fits the bill. There are a lot of "smart" pages like iGoogle or Netvibes out there, but I have not found a simple, "dumb" one.

Anyone know of such a thing?

Try Homepaw.

What is HomePaw?

  • HomePaw is a startpage / homepage.
  • It lists all your bookmarks in one page.
  • All your bookmarks are in categories.
  • Your bookmarks are accessible from all your computers, anywhere.
  • Your most visited bookmarks are moved higher in each category (and marked if they are overall most visited).
  • Your least visited bookmarks are moved lower in each category (and grayed out if older than x days).
  • It's free!

A little bit wonky (can't seem to remove the Most Visited category) but seems to be what I'm looking for. – RandomEngy Jul 19 '11 at 21:02

Try setting the "Number of Overall Top links to put in bold" to 0, from the Options page. I'm not sure you can remove it. – Alex Jul 19 '11 at 21:09

Well if you can host your own why not just make a plain HTML page with the links that you want? – EBGreen Jul 19 '11 at 16:59
I already have a plain HTML page that I upload to my hosting. The problem is that it's a pain to update. You have to get the source, fiddle with it and re-upload via FTP. This is really bothersome when I want to add links at work/home/htpc/laptop. If I could add new links in a simple manner over the web it would be a lot better. – RandomEngy Jul 19 '11 at 18:50

Why not just put an HTML file in your Dropbox Public folder?
