Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

So for example, you list an item for sale, but during the listing process the website will show different prices from several online retailers. This allows the user to make a better judgement when determining the right price. Is there any script or web app that does this?

Searching for the item using Google Product Search will show the prices in bold, although it takes some fine-tuning to find the most appropriate results.

There is http://researchit.get4it.com/ which focuses on what items have sold for on eBay as an indicator of general market price. It will also list what an item sells for on a variety of other sites as well.

It is geared toward sellers, and includes charts and statistical data on selling prices.
