I love using Google Docs (especially for text documents and for spreadsheets). Is there something similar that can replace MS Access/Filemaker? So I'm looking for a hosted database solution with a user-friendly interface. I don't want to write SQL code all day long.

I am building such an online database app, over Google App Engine. It is called iFreeTools Creator and is available at http://creator.ifreetools.com iFreeTools Creator has out-of-the-box integration with other Google services including with Google Contacts (import/upload from your custom database) and Google Docs (attach files from docs to database records). database.com has recently opened to the public. Owned by Salesforce it has a very easy to use frontend and a stable cloud architecture. Caveat: it's only free up to 100k records for 3 users. |

I recommend you check out GoDaddy's Easy Database for Websites product. The application codes widgets that collect and display information that can be embedded on your website.
