Are you talking about the Google toolbar that needs an installation to run properly? –  wizlog Oct 25 '11 at 14:44

I have seen a few Greasemonkey scripts that will remove the bar, turn it white, but nothing that will allow you to change it. –  Al E. Oct 25 '11 at 16:11

Google Help has an article your looking for.

Google Toolbar offers a Google Calendar button that you can add to Google Toolbar for quick access to your calendar. To download the latest version of the Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox, visit the Toolbar homepage. If you're already using the latest version, add the Google Calendar button or search or other custom buttons in the Toolbar Button Gallery.

Once you have the Google Calendar button added to your Toolbar, you can enjoy the following features:

Quick and easy access Simply click on the Google Calendar button to go to your calendar page. If you are not signed into your Google Account, you will be prompted to sign in.

View your upcoming events By clicking on the drop-down arrow next to the Google Calendar button, you can view your next 10 events from your primary calendar without even going to your calendar page. To view event details, simply click on the event from the drop-down list to go to the event details page. Here you can also edit the event details.
