Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I installed Noref chrome extension to stop websites from looking at which link I had come from (the referrer link) when reaching to facebook.

I now find that I can no longer use the invites, messages, and updates links.

Those links are JavaScript calls as they are AJAX.

Any ideas on why Facebook would prevent you from using it's service if cannot sniff more data from you?

Checked the JavaScript nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I've tried the extension and was able to use all the links mentioned. The Facebook messaging was a bit buggy but that's about it. – phwd Jan 31 '12 at 23:20
