How can I customize the Google services navigation menu to have products and apps I use most frequently in the first set of options?

The new Google bar navigation (instead of the black bar across the top that launched when Google+ did) has placed the calendar under the "More" section. I have to mouse over More before I can get the second set of menu items where the calendar app is.

Is there a setting or a way I can make Calendar part of the "first" menu?

FYI that is the 'old' bar... the new one has it all under the same menu. See lifehacker.com/5864328/… –  PriceChild Dec 5 '11 at 16:24

No. I'm referring to the new bar -the one you linked to. Notice how Calendar isn't in the first list. You must hover/select more. –  Brian Dec 5 '11 at 16:30

After clicking on the More button, drag the Calendar icon to the toolbar.

Edit: The above works only for Google Toolbar/Browser IE.

This is not the aprropriate answer for the above.

That doesn't work for me in Google Chrome or Firefox. –  Brian Dec 6 '11 at 14:28

It worked for me in IE. Firefox does not have more .. option –  Hoque Dec 7 '11 at 6:43

@Brian, do you have "more" option in Firefox's Google Toolbar? –  Hoque Dec 7 '11 at 6:44

@Hoque I think we are talking apples and oranges. this is not a browser based toolbar. It is the new 'bar' built into google.com itself. Google's own blog entry on the new bar released only a few weeks ago: googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/next-stage-in-our-redesign.html –  Brian Dec 7 '11 at 16:15

Install the Big G Drop Down Sorter for Google Chrome and you can reorder the items.

Google Menu sorter

Quick extension to allow users to customize the order of the options in the new redesigned Google bar. Just drag and drop items from each column.

Hopefully google will make this extension obsolete. I'm surprised folks would rather have 'Image' search before 'calendar' in terms of the default order of services on the google bar. –  Brian Dec 12 '11 at 19:11
