On reading Using Gmail as a JIRA Mail Server they mention that it is not uncommon to setup JIRA to use your personal Gmail address for sending emails from within JIRA.
I tried this (luckily with a new Gmail address I created for this) but when I try to send a mail from JIRA there is no error in JIRA itself but I get logged out from Gmail and the account is disabled.
Is using Gmail for this against the policy of Google? Do they allow this if you have Google Apps account? Or should I look to other email servers that don't care/know about this usage?
