Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I need to have our website rebuilt and I’m looking for the right tool(s). It is currently built using the now-obsolete FrontPage. The blog uses WordPress and the forum uses vBulletin. Some of the requirements are:

  • Needs a forums’ module and we need to Import existing vBulletin forum while maintaining pre-existing cross links

  • Must support search functionality

  • Would be great if it allowed multi-lingual versions of a web page

  • Once built, an average office worker needs to be able to add pages without programming, e.g. a new tech support document or a news release

I’m interested in both web-based and PC/Mac-based tools. If this is not the place to post such a question, I would appreciate a link on where to go.

This site is for users of web applications. Development questions should be posted on Stack Overflow and administration questions on Webmasters. However, I'm not sure which site would be best for this question. – ChrisF Jan 10 '12 at 8:56
For PC/MAC Based tools you can use softwares like Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expression Studio 4. – Random Guy Jan 10 '12 at 12:15

I checked with the moderators of both Stack Overflow and Webmasters and they both declined the migration. Check the other sites - existing answers on both should be of help. – ChrisF Jan 10 '12 at 14:16
Thanks for taking the time to look into where the question can be migrated. I had looked prior to posting the question, and webapps seemed like the closest match, though not a perfect fit. – Hisham Jan 11 '12 at 16:56
