Is there a web app that proxies/buffers/streams podcasts such that I can find an arbitrary podcast URL (or, failing that, one from the app's own podcast directory) and stream it?

...rather than downloading the entire podcast before listening.

Google reader has both recommended feeds and the ability to add arbitrary feeds of podcasts to your stream. It even syncs with the (horrible) android app, Google Listen. You can then click on a specific podcast in your feed and hit play and it will start streaming. It doesn't remember your place, but you can advance the bar at the bottom to get close to where you were at least.

It does require a google account, but you're on a SE site so that's probably not an issue...
