Is there a voice recognition app that, allows me to interact with various web apps and modify certain actions and link them to command word?

I don't see how a web app is going to be able to interact with your system hardware like that. I don't think there CAN be a webapp to do that. This question may be better off on superuser.com – Al Everett Jul 8 '10 at 14:04

There are a lot of reasons why you wouldn't want an app like that. Word recognition software still isn't very good and on top of that there is a lot of issues with how what you say is interpreted. One word commands are easy enough but beyond that it becomes a real mess. – RandomBen Jul 8 '10 at 14:55

Jott is a service that provides you a telephone number you call to control various web applications by voice. It has built-in integration with many different web applications, including at least Remember the Milk, Google Calendar, Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, and WordPress. The last time I checked, they let you add additional services pretty easily via a simple web-based API, which was pretty easy to use. I have no idea whether that particular piece of functionality still exists, but if it did, it might provide you the full functionality you're aiming for.
