Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Is there a Web App which will determine the PageRank of a given website?

Other relevant SEO statistics would be valuable as well.

Even though you are asking for a Web Application, wouldn't that question be more appropriate for the up comming Pro Webmasters site ? – HoLyVieR Jul 8 '10 at 13:53
If the question remains open, it should be made Community Wiki. There will not be a single "correct" answer. – Al Everett Jul 8 '10 at 14:00
@HoLyVieR. There are lots of non-webmasters who might be interested in the Page Rank of a given website. Potential advertisers might want to have a tool to do some research on a site before buying ad space for example. – jessegavin Jul 8 '10 at 14:25

The first link didn't work for me. The second looks really scammy. – Michael Pryor Jul 20 '10 at 13:55
They both look scammy to me. :) But, both links still work for me. – beaudetious Aug 4 '10 at 19:36

Google Toolbar provides Page Rank information and a one-click 'Back-links' search for the page you are on.

I really like http://www.ruediger.info, because you can:

  1. Check several sites at once
  2. Get a link to the results, that you can send to friends/customers, visit every month or even put on your website
  3. There are no annoying captchas

There is another one (in german): http://www.pagerank.comlex.de . There it is directly possible to send the results to your eMail-address.

Not a web app, but if you use Firefox, might also want to try the SEO Quake plugin.

There are several really good webapps for SEO:

Try any of these:

  • Rankiac Free trial. Good information on backlinks, ranking for keywords
  • DIYSEO Free trial. Lots of good info and examples for SEO
  • GoingUp Free tools. Great free tools for Page Rank, plus much more.

Also make sure to check out the SEOBook toolbar. It is free for Firefox and shows the Google Page Rank for any site you are visiting.

I like to use the Quirk SearchStatus, which is a Firefox plugin. Not only does it show the pagerank and alexa rank, you can also toggle it to highlight noFollow-links
