I rent a Shoutcast 2 server and one of the features it offers is the ability to embed the song history into any website via Javascript. It's pretty basic and displays exactly what it says in the tin: Artist - Title
I've placed this code into a text widget in Wordpress but what I'd like to be able to do is allow the listener to purchase the song from a variety of music websites; Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, Junodownload etc etc by clicking on a small icon displayed underneath the song title.
What would be the building blocks for something like this? I am assuming that there would need to be some kind of search function? Perhaps clicking the icon would take the listener to the corresponding search page?
