I've used phpbb in the past but it's nowhere near as easy to use as Wordpress in terms of theming/plugins etc. What is the best forum type software around?

I'm very happy with Simple Machines Forum (SMF). I'm not aware of any large sites offering to host it for free though; you would need your own PHP/MySQL host. |
