Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I currently sync my Google Calendar to my iPhone via Exchange, and I usually have Google Calendar open on my computer at most hours of the day. If I set a reminder for myself, I get pinged on my mobile device, then a minute later on my browser.

I acknowledge the alert on my mobile, but that doesn't sync up in time to prevent the browser alert.

Any suggestions on how to avoid the duplicate alert? Or, can you suggest an alternative on calendar reminders in general?

I guess one alternative would be just to use the email reminders from Google Calendar. I'm open to other suggestions – dolan Jun 6 '12 at 2:43
I suspect I'm not asking a solid question here, but I do still want to address my issue. Can anyone suggest a way to steer this question better for this community? – dolan Jun 7 '12 at 4:00
