Buzz show up in the left hand side of my gmail account. How to I get rid of it?

Using the options on the Settings->Buzz tab

So you can either hide Google Buzz in Gmail (top option) or disable Buzz completely (bottom option). – Maxim Zaslavsky Jul 1 '10 at 2:38

At the bottom of the page there's a : "turn off buzz" link

turn off buzz

Click on it. It takes you to: Settings>Buzz

There, there is another link:

Disable Google Buzz

All buzz items in gmail have the bug tag, so in gmail, click

Settings > Labels > System Labels > Buzz > Hide 

To hide them all.

Click the 'turn off buzz' link at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to the buzz settings page, where you can hide the buzz tab, or disable it completely.
