When using the WebMail Notifier since I started using the 2 step authentication from Google for my Google account and upon doing so this extension of course triggered my Google account when it tried to check it to use the 2 step auth. I receive the text with the code and enter it. All is fine until some minutes, hours up to a day and it again requests me to do the same. Am I doing something wrong here? Anyone had similar issues?

It seems that extension doesn't remember authentication which is necessary feature in apps when you are using them with 2 step notification. So each time it'll try to authenticate, Google will trigger 2 step and it cannot recognize the app. – Bibhas Jul 11 '12 at 7:45
@Bibhas Thanks for your answer. Put this comment as an answer and I will accept it. Also maybe include an alternative solution that checks mail for gmail and uses the 2 step auth. Link: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/gmail-checker/… – Fogest Jul 11 '12 at 13:32
