I am looking for sites that allow me to share web site links with my friends and also follow theirs. It would eventually serve as my bookmarking site. Is there any such service?

This isn't really the proper place to ask this. You should use Google to look for social bookmarking. As it stands, there is Delicious, StumbleUpon, and a few other big ones. If you are having any issues with any services that you do find or have a question on how to use one of those services, feel free to ask that here. – Dez Jul 19 '12 at 14:59
