When someone messages me on Facebook sometimes I don't receive them in my inbox. On certain users, it shows but if I go on chat and click on someone it shows I have a message from them but it doesnt show on the main message page.

So I never know if someone messages me unless I go through and look through all my friends messages on the chat bar

It's really hard to explain though

Imm... seem like this is one of facebook bugs. pls check out this facebook.com/help/issues/messages whether the condition you are facing is including in one of those. – kitokid Jul 29 '12 at 11:35
