Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a former school (.edu) e-mail account that has been converted to an alias, which is supposed to forward everything to my paid Go Daddy account. However, e-mails from certain domains never seem to arrive. Such domains include Yelp, Facebook and Meetup, to name a few. Meetup actually complains about receiving bounced messages.

I've sent several test to that address from my other accounts, and all of them seem to go through. This is extremely hard to diagnose as my e-mails never bounce. I don't know whether the problem lies with my e-mail alias or Go Daddy account.

Anyone know where to start?

This is something you need to take up with the admins of the .edu account. It sounds like it is bouncing e-mails from the some domains - perhaps for policy reasons. – ChrisF Oct 11 '12 at 22:05
Yeah, I suspected the problem was on my (old) school's side. I did ask them to look into the issue, but so far they have not responded. I guess I'll poke them again in a few days. – Danny Chia Oct 13 '12 at 6:42
