When I post a picture, the (beginning of the) first sentence of the description seems to be used automatically for two things:

  • it becomes the content of the image alt attribute
  • it gets quoted in the dashboard (used as some kind of title) when someone likes/reblogs my picture

How can I prevent this? Is there some special Tumblr syntax or HTML I can use so that this sentence will not be used for these purposes?

I tried to add <br> elements before the sentence (I thought that Tumblr might take that whitespace instead of the following text), but this didn't help.
