Is there a shortcut key to set the selected text to monospace in Confluence or is it possible to set up one somehow? I know the {{...}} markup but it's rather cumbersome.

I just came across this. This is not supported so far, see the following issue: jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23966. – Andreas Klöber Dec 5 '13 at 8:34

@AndreasKlöber: Thank you! I've just voted for the JIRA ticket. – palacsint Dec 5 '13 at 9:28

So far I used the {{your text}} method. Once you close the second curly bracket it will change the whole text inside to monospace.

I had exceptions in which it wouldn't change to monospace - especially when I was trying to do long links, with spaces and other characters.

The {{text}} syntax is already mentioned in the question. The question was about a key shortcut to set the currently selected text in monospace. – ᴡᴏʀᴅs 4 hours ago
