Can we get the system to put 'overdue' cards at the top of the new 'Cards' page (when sorting by due date)? This seems sort of obvious to me but for some reason my 'overdue' items appear about 2/3 the way down, along with my other (non-relevant) tasks.

Would make sense to see:

Overdue Items ->
Items coming due ->
Everything Else

Currently the Sort by Due Date option uses the following layout:

  1. Items coming due
  2. Overdue items
  3. Items with no due date

Your suggested layout makes more sense to me.
As suggested by OnenOnlyWalter you should email feature-ideas@trello.com, I'd vote for it.
