I cannot confirm my email address as Trello asked me. When I click on the invisible but blinking link, it goes to IE8 automatically. I cannot copy this link and paste in chrome. What to do?

I signed up in Trello. I received a confirmation email where I need to click on a blincking and invisible link. When I did, it goes automatically to IE8. I thought by copy paste the link, it would work in Chrome. It does not.

Trello does not use IE8, the company official browser. I need to install something from chrome, which I cannot do it since I am not the administrator.
