Facebook puts some rubbish in my newsfeed, such as someone liking something or someone becoming a friend with someone random or comments on the status' of people who aren't your friend. Is there a Greasemonkey script to filter this?

Depending on the rubbish, Facebook will let you filter this out without the need for any additional scripts.

You can hide apps and you can hide people. The Hide button can't be used to hide the became-a-friend notifications and such. –  Rebecca Chernoff Jul 16 '10 at 13:20
