I want to start using music in videos that I upload to Youtube. I have seen many videos either taken down or music swapped for having music under copyright. Is there place/online library where I can get

  • Music free of charge and legal issues
  • Previews of songs before downloading (at least 30 seconds)
  • Instructions/links to mention creators and curators
  • Instrumentals, beats and loops of popular songs (possibility?)
  • High Quality audio

It would be great to get a place that explicitly states that their work is in the Creative Commons category and it is possible to download outside of the US.

Creative Commons maintains a list of Legal Music for Videos. The page lists some of the major sites for locating CC music and audio.

Jamendo.com is your friend: they are a primary destination for CC-music.

Edit: also thesixtyone.com has a separate section devoted to Creative Commons: http://old.thesixtyone.com/#/cc/

Maybe PodSafe (for example http://www.podsafeaudio.com/) will satisfy you needs?

We have just released an entire album under a Creative Commons license, with the hope that videographers, documentary filmmakers, television producers, and other multimedia content creators will build creative works atop our music. Listen to, and download high-quality audio files of it at lakefieldmusic.com.
