I am using WordPress and my current theme uses timthumb for image re-sizing. I have all my media files stored in my main domain i.e. domain.com and then I create new websites for my clients on subdomains i.e. city1.domain.com.
The problem is that all my images appear broken. For what I understand it looks like it also fetches the local URL and it ends up with a false one.
Here's what I've already tried:
Set the permissions of cache and thumb.php to 777. Contacted my hosting company and made sure it's whitelisted and doesn't generate errors. Set 'TRUE' for define ( 'ALLOW_EXTERNAL') Added the main domain in the allowed sites. Set 'TRUE' for define ( 'ALLOW_EXTERNAL') in the configured file created by the theme's designers. I tried this solution http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/attachmentText?id=342&aid=3420002000&name=timthumb-local-urls.patch&token=vsqVJPMS-dRI1y2C2uXU-Z1heVI%3A1358605496228 but I get an error for line #35.
