Sorry, you can't. All of the fonts for use on Google Docs are powered by their Google Web Fonts service. You can only add fonts that are listed on that service. Instructions on how to do that are here http://support.google.com/drive/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=189190

I also found that link, but I can't see any F+ Add font entry in the drop down menu. :( – lapo May 7 '13 at 20:53

Same here, I cannot find this option. Perhaps this is only available on Google Apps. – David Nov 7 '13 at 22:12

Found it! You have to set the language of the document first under File > Language, and the menu option will appear. googledocs.blogspot.ca/2010/09/more-fontastic-google-docs.html – David Nov 7 '13 at 22:18

This tidbit is so useful, exactly what I was looking for and should be the accepted answer for the question. – tufelkinder Apr 11 '15 at 16:59
