I'm looking for a web application that allows me to edit document by writing document sections using a rich text editor. I want to be able to add metadata to each fragment, with the intent of doing additional searching and filtering while exporting documents to a format like PDF or Word. The app should also feature user management and sharing.
Features I need:
- Wysiwyg editing of (tree-like) documents by users
- Annotating document fragments with tags, fields, etc.
- Some form of filtered, templated exporting to a page-oriented document format (for example, include fragments with tag "such-and-such", exclude fragments with attribute X larger than Y, etc.)
Most document management systems I've seen operate at the file level, which isn't fine-grained enough. I can envision a very generic system that should be able to do this (as the case is quite simple), using a rich text editor on a database, but I want to avoid having to build it if possible :).
