I have been hearing about some new Gmail-integrated CRM-like systems, such as Streak and Yesware. I am looking for a very specific feature, and I can't figure out if it is offered on these or other services.

The feature I need is this: when a particular email conversation is important for the team, the user marks it as such (or puts it in a pipeline, or whatever). After that, any member of the team can access the conversation, but they won't it won't show up in the inbox. The user who is leading the conversation just marks the conversation once, and all other users in his team can get access to it. This is to allow remote teams to silently keep eachother in the loop of conversations without having to cc or bcc each time.

My question is: What would this feature be called in CRM parlance? And are there any Gmail-integrated apps that offer this?
