What does "cannot get it to work" mean? Is the issue that you cannot access the file, you cannot edit the file, you cannot further share the file...? –  nerdwaller Jul 23 '13 at 21:28

I cannot edit the file. –  breda j Jul 23 '13 at 21:47

Has the person who shared it enabled you to edit? There are various permissions, some include view/edit, some just say view. It is worth pointing out, that drive doesn't have a PDF editor on it AFAIK, so you'd probably only be able to view on that platform. –  nerdwaller Jul 23 '13 at 21:49

Google Drive does not have the ability to modify PDF files. You can only view the contents. You really should clarify what your attempting to do exactly. –  Ramhound Jul 24 '13 at 12:17
