Same as with goldfarming. People in impoverished nations are paid pennies an hour to click-click-click. However, I don't see that this is a good question for this site. –  Al E. Sep 9 '13 at 13:29

My guess is via proxies and a script that clicks on the like button. They've probably created 100 accounts or so manually which are logged into via the script. It's unwise to do this though, people used to do it with Facebook and your page will get suspended after a while.

ok thanks, have you heard about Insta Bot –  sourabh kasliwal Sep 9 '13 at 13:22

Instabot is probably a scam if it's an application. The only way you'd be able to do it is via the Instagram API with some coding language. They've recently set the limit to 350 requests per hour though, to cut down on this practice. –  Ricky Odin Matthews Sep 9 '13 at 14:08
