Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Sometimes when I search google for something, it brings back results that are actually just further searches on other sites. These are almost never useful in my experience.

I can't believe that google has already gone out and searched my exact search already on these sites, right? Is it doing this live? Either way, can I stop these kind of search results?

edit: After further experimentation in search of a good example as was requested, it appears that these are not done real-time by google. It looks like the sites have searched themselves and generated pages based on those search results in hopes of being indexed. So, the suggestions in the other comment are the best alternatives available. Thx.
