Web Applications Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for power users of web applications. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Is there a script that would automatically change "From:" address according to a filter on "To:" address? E.g. I want all the messages sent to @domain.com to be sent from @yahoo.com, and the rest from my default gmail account. I know there is "reply from the same address..." option, but this is not what I want, I am interested in NEW messages only.

I know there was a script for this: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/71859 but it is no longer maintained and does not work after recent changes in gmail.

If I undestard well you can do it from the settings.

You can choose from what address you want the email will be sent.

I hope it helps you

Sorry but I think you missed the word "automatically". The point is that too many times I forgot to change my "from" address, so I would like to have a script for this. –  alkamid Oct 21 '13 at 15:38

You can choose your @yahoo.com email by default e-mail sender –  Ale Oct 21 '13 at 15:45

I know. But I only want to send it from yahoo.com if I am sending to domain.com. If I choose it as my default address, then all the e-mails will be sent from yahoo.com by default, which is not what I want. –  alkamid Oct 21 '13 at 17:10

Now it's clear to me and my solution do not help you... Have a good luck –  Ale Oct 22 '13 at 7:30
