If you have Conversation view activated, they will be labeled automatically. – Alex Nov 19 '13 at 3:40
Where do I find this view – Alex Ixeras Nov 19 '13 at 5:32
Gear (upper-right corner) → SettingsConversation View → set to onSave Changes. This, however, will affect the way all your emails are displayed—they will be grouped together. See here for more details. – Alex Nov 19 '13 at 9:16
Conversation view is the default for Gmail, so unless you've explicitly turned it off it's already on. – Al E. Nov 19 '13 at 13:35
I don't think this is so. I just turned conversation view off, and seaarched for all messages with a certain subject. My replies are not tagged. – Sherwood Botsford Feb 15 at 23:36
