I use Microsoft Outlook 2010 to read e-mails on my Gmail account. I noticed that every once in a while, an e-mail that is saved in my Outlook inbox is not present if I log in through the Gmail portal or if I check my account on the iPhone built-in Mail app. My Outlook is synched with Gmail.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Are you running any filters in Gmail? Did you look in the Spam label? –  Al E. Nov 22 '13 at 20:58

In addition to @AlEverett's point, make sure if you go to file > options > advance > send & received > edit > then subscribe to folders using custom... > then select the inbox and all the subfolders for your gmail account –  Rudolph Nov 26 '13 at 15:54
